Bentley III Steering Column.
-------------------------

Our attention has been called to the lock plate for locking the nut which attaches the wheel to the Bentley steering column worm tube. This was shown on N.Sch.3505 as having eight fixing screws and two alternative positions for the hexagon. It has been altered subsequently to have nine fixing screws which gives three alternative positions.

It is suggested that in order to reduce the number of holes which have to be drilled and tapped in the steering wheel, the lock plate should remain as it is now with nine holes but only three fixing screws be used.

We would be glad if you would issue the necessary instructions.
