GRASMERE, BYFLEET, SURREY. 12th Feb 1935 Dear Mr Hives, I understand from Mr Summers of Vickers(Aviation)Ltd that he mentioned the matter of the faulty brakes on my Continental Phantom, chassis 80 MS, to you. I would consider it a great favour if, when next you are in this district, you would try this car yourself. I would also prefer to explain the case in detail to you personally rather than by letter. Ever since the car was delivered, I have been compelled to complain about the brakes. I have usually directed these complaints to your Mr Abbott Anderson, who is the inspector for this district, without any material resultant improvement in their efficiency.
