HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG22224., we also think that it would be a suggestion to try the scuttle isolation scheme suggested for the Goshawk on the 40/50 - in fact the same bolts and rubber washers could be used. We think that a possible source of excessive movement of the scuttle on cars that have been a considerable mileage is due to the parallelogramming of the scuttle forward armature. This may be overcome by the Goshawk scheme of 2 spherical seated bolts with rubber washers attaching it to the dashboard or by providing this wooden armature with a stiffness of its own triangulating its corners such as we have suggested on our scheme for the isolation of the scuttle for the experimental landaulette on our body frame. No doubt you will have got a lot of information on this matter and if you could let us have your views we would be glad, as some time soon we hope to prepare schemes for isolating the scuttle on both 20.HP. and 40/50 cars.
