We are running a second engine of this type on the test bench. The power is equal to the original engine.
On this engine we are making comparative HP. curves with the various compression pistons which we have for test.
We are also trying Camshafts - 118º, 114º and 110º. The engine has the original type crankcase, and is allotted for the original EAC-1 chassis with 3-speed gearbox.
We are also preparing a 40/50 HP. car with a new engine for PN.{Mr Northey} to take to France to test. This car will be completed at the end of this month. It will have on it all the new parts which we shall be able to get on in that time. It will, however, have to run with radius rods fitted to the front axle.
We are also preparing another 40/50 car with an EAC. engine for your use. The most suitable car for us to modify is one fitted with a Park Ward all-weather body. This car will be arranged with an EAC. engine with the proper crankcase to suit the 40/50 mounting and will have on it all the up-to-date parts, including front springs. The car will not have an EAC-11 bonnet and radiator because we understand it is desirable that from appearance it should look like a standard 40/50 HP. car. This car is being pushed with all possible speed and will be sent to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence when completed.
On the car with the EAC. engine contd:-
