R.R. 252a (100 T) (S.H. 768. 10-12-26) G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2947 EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T, -2- Contd. It is fortunate that this particular failure did not occur in the hands of our Chief Engineer else there is little doubt that this would have been the doom of your batteries on Rolls-Royce cars. You may remember that at the time you showed us your bell test, we queried as to the absolute reliability of such a test. We consider that careful visual inspection of every assembled block of plates should be carried out. We shall be very interested to hear what you have to say about this and no doubt you will assure us that on the production batteries which we have received since the modifications this omission cannot possibly have occurred. Even then, there will remain a vestige of doubt in our minds as to whether this is completely so. Yours faithfully, [Watermark text] 1804 MADE AT CROXLEY | ||
