Faulty 40/5 Coil No. 582
This coil has been tested and the fault found to be in the secondary winding.
When received the coil was given a trial run on 6.5 mm gap at 8.0 volts and appeared to be OK.
It was next tried for continuity of windings when the secondary was found to be broken.
On further testing at 8.0 volts, the coil although alright at first seemed to get weaker after a time, the sparking at the gaps becoming irregular.
A second test for continuity and secondary milli amps was made, this time the secondary winding being OK and the milli amps of
