X8770 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RmL/LG19.10.27. We have the following work on cars which is requiring attention urgently :- (1) New exhaust manifold - 40/50 HP. (2) .900 steering and box - 40/50. (3) 1 set of friction in column for standard 'D' type steering. This will be fitted to customers cars. Column will be supplied as soon as parts are ready. New friction plates are being detailed by D.O. having better bearing surface for serrations. (4) -- Ditto -- for 20 HP. raked column. (5) Wt. of all various parts of 14 EX axle. (6) Standard pistons and solid two-point front engine mounting 10-EX. (7) Steering column support as indicated on N.sch. 2484 to be fitted to 12-EX and 14-EX experimentally. (8) Bits for single-point rubber bush front engine mounting - 40/50 HP.
