-3- (6) Competition Open Body for the Comet. We wish you to make a study of a car with very reduced projected area, conforming to the regulations for the International Competition, and with weight reduced to 150 Kg. for the body itself, and with very careful consideration of the aerodynamic form. This car can have two doors, and a demountable head. The front of this car should be similar to that of the proceeding Corniche Comet. (7) Chassis 2.3 litre Monocoque. We have given you the general dimensions of the above chassis, and we wish you to make a design of this car using a body of the same internal dimensions as that of the Bentley V.{VIENNA} standard, blueprint PD.206, but you may reduce the height or width given, up to 15 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} For this car two fronts should be considered: (a) The Rolls-Royce front but modernised. (b) The front of the Bentley modernised somewhat as shown on design PD.380 - Sht.3. We would also like to receive from you a design of the assembly of the body of this car of the Monocoque type. (8) Bumpers - Rolls-Royce and Bentley. We would like to receive from you an idea for an improved design of bumper for the Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars. Will you please send us some designs. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
