Copy for Mr. Robotham of Rolls Royce Ltd. ------------------------- From:- C.G.Williams, Esq. The Institution of Automobile Engineers, Gt. West Road, BRENTFORD. Middx. CCW/BL. RESEARCH DEPT., 8th September, 1937. To:- W.C.Devereux, Esq., High Duty Alloys Ltd. Buckingham Avenue, Slough. Bucks. Dear Mr. Devereux, I visited Rolls-Royce on Monday and, in conversation, Mr. Harvey Bailey told me of the aluminium-tin bearing alloy which you are handling. It occurred to me that, if you are agreeable, we should be pleased to carry out some tests on our bearing wear machine, and I am enclosing a sketch indicating the main dimensions. We should require three or four specimens. Yours faithfully, signed:- C.G.WILLIAMS. Director of Research. Enc. Sketch. | ||
