STEADMAN Please discuss Water Pump 25 RUE GIDE LEVALLOIS-PERRET. PARIS. FRANCE. GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/HFH{Hoppy F. Hamilton}/3/JAB. 25th November 1936. To. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. G.W.H. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 500a Helen Run/son 22.G.V. We have dismantled the water pump in order to re-pack the gland and replace the fabric coupling. The gland had badly worn, resulting in a serious loss of water. It seems that the wear in the gland is due to the fabric coupling having stretched to an oval shape, and consequently, tending to pull the impellor shaft out of line. GWH{George W.
