Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hr. X766 U..1 X766 X3456 CHASSIS - WATER BOILING AND LOSS OF WATER. We still continue to receive complaints of water boiling and consequent loss of water, necessitating frequent filling of the radiator. I understand that you have instructions from the last Midland Hotel Conference to go into the question of the efficiency of the present radiator in comparison with the pre-war large radiator. I am anxious that something should be done quickly, as one of our customers informs us that he is bringing his car to the works shortly and he expects us to be able to overcome this trouble for him. As a matter of fact I do not think we should have much trouble in dealing with this complaint if it was a question of the water boiling only, but it is the loss of water, due to boiling which is the annoying feature, and about which we must be able to supply some cure. Can you let us know what means can be applied simply and effectively to the radiators of the existing cars in order to overcome this trouble. Can you please make a few tests in this direction so that the matter can be dealt with, as I propose bringing it up at the next Works Conference. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
