BENTLEY 50 SERVO SPRING GB.3518
Reference HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}8/VS.{J. Vickers}8.4.38
As this job is urgent we would like you to obtain a series of springs in the material you mention in your note, only with the circumferential grooves 0.180" deep instead of 0.125" deep. These would be in addition to the ones already ordered. we are quite prepared to learn that such deep grooves are impractical in certain materials.
To get the first car on the road we will reduce the rating by cutting windows in the springs you now have.
