1256 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 16th June, 1939. Messrs. Walford & Hardman Brown, Roslyn Chambers, 47, Warwick Road, C O V E N T R Y. Dear Sirs, With reference to your two letters regarding Bentley Piston Patent Application 37227/38, a recent investigation has brought to light several points in connection with the design of this unit, and in addition, we are awaiting with interest the results of the tests by the Leyland Co. Under the circumstances, we suggest it is better to defer the final patent application until we have cleared up the queries, the answers to which can be obtained within a reasonable period of time. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
