E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Strikethrough] c. EFC. c. BY/RD. X7655 BY1/G.13.2.29. (SS.{S. Smith}) STARTER MOTOR PINION. ------------------------- Referring to EFC2/T.7.2.29. we had intended to increase the bearing area for the pinion where it slides in the sleeve. The trouble is not due to key wear, but to wear on the locating area fore and aft of keys. Unfortunately we have not been able to find time to make a scheme but possibly you could give the matter consideration. Our proposal was to push the keys back from the pinion, reduce their length a little and gain some length on motor side of keys as well. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
