I have been over to the Bentley Depot and have left Dixon there to get all the information possible.

They are dealing with the clutch trouble in a sensible way. At present they are informing the owner that's that, and until new units arrive nothing is being done. They have had 93 complaints of the axle control rattle in the last six months.

No serious trouble with oil seals in rear axle. Are waiting for the modification for the pinion housing.

Mr. Clark took up with me the question of reboring the cylinders. In his opinion a wear of .005" is not sufficient to warrant reboring, especially as there is no sign of overoiling or bad consumption. He states that they could go to .008" in almost every case without any trouble. This is a free policy job and costs money. Why could not the matter be left to his discretion in cases where, as stated, no overoiling or bad consumption exists. Apparently a ruling has been given by Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} Can this be cleared up ?.
