TO Mr. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Mr. WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} SP.{Mr Spinney} ORIGINAL RECEIVED OCT 26 1922 M/124.10.22. GOSHAWK SPARKING PLUG SPANNER. X4083 We send herewith drawing No.LeC 1648 showing the above. This spanner has been made so as to operate all six sparking plugs with reasonable facility. It is short enough to go underneath the klaxon, and small enough we think to clear the ignition wire support, and owing to a number of tommy bar holes being provided we think it will be possible to conveniently handle it on No.1. plug. This drawing cancels the LeC drawing showing the spanner suitable for the sparking plugs inclined at 40°. The body of the spanner has been knurled so that sparking plugs which have been loosened can be quickly undone. Will you kindly proceed to make, test, and standardise this spanner?
