44613 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy to C. LE7/H/10.1.29. Semi-isolation scheme for scuttle. With reference to the above and your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG/9.1.29. In future, should we test any cars prior to the Chassis No. on which the semi-isolation scheme becomes standard and which are inclined to "jelly", I propose to take up the matter with the Coachbuilder and ask him to fit some form of semi-isolation scheme. A case to point, Chassis No. 45 - WR. Thrupp and Maberly, Open Touring car for the Cairo Show. There was a con- siderable amount of "jellying" on this car, and I have arranged with Messrs. Thrupp and Maberly for the fitting of the semi-isolation scheme. J.L.E. | ||
