W/S. CWB. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 48770 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG11.11.24. X8770 X2565 I telephoned to you this afternoon, and as I could not get you I spoke to Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} and asked him to leave a message as to whether you could arrange for us to have 48-PK car from Thursday until Monday. It would suit us however quite well if you could let us have it from Thursday until Saturday morning. We would return it either to Lillie Hall or Conduit Street before noon on Saturday. The reason we wish to borrow this car is that we are taking an EAC. cabriolet to R.{Sir Henry Royce} and we should like to have 48-PK car to be there at the same time. It is not intended that we should use 48-PK car as a model 40/50 HP. but it would be useful during our meeting with R.{Sir Henry Royce} to have a standard 40/50 HP. with a similar body which could be referred to. If this can be arranged, we would send our man early on Thursday to collect the car so that he would have time to make any minor adjustments before meeting him at WW. with it on Firday morning.
