---------------------

Referring to Dal/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 10.11.24. and the various proposals,

a/- To make the necessary modifications to our present chassis at the earliest possible date to enable the EAC.II engine and later to replace the standard engine in chassis delivered with such modifications.

b/- To give us the necessary modifications to EAC.II engine and similar details in connection with same to enable a/- to be carried out.

In order to make quite sure that West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, Sales and Derby thoroughly understand each other, I would like to make the following points clear, which were discussed at a recent conference between CJ, BJ, C. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}

CJ. is anxious to bring in at the earliest possible moment any modifications to the present chassis which are necessary to carry out the proposals under headings a/- and b/- above. This would involve for a standard chassis

1. The use of EAC.II radiator with its present EAC.II. dimensions.

2. A higher bonnet to suit the radiator in question.

3. The use of the EAC.II dashboard so far as dimensions are concerned.

4. The introduction of the EAC.II Autovac Tank.

5. A modification to the position of the steering column as arranged on the standard chassis at present by modifying the steering column as a whole so far as the length of the steering column itself is concerned, and pushing forward the centre of the steering box, therefore the position of the pendulum lever as shown on N.Scheme 1875.

Please wire tomorrow, (Wednesday) if the schemes you are working on fulfil the above conditions.
