Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your favour of the 12th inst. reference Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/W6/H2717.

We regret to inform you that for some considerable time we have been experiencing great difficulty in obtaining sufficient supplies of this "Nichrome" Resistance Wire to meet our own requirements, and we are very short of same at the present moment. Therefore we are unable to supply the quantity you require, and we trust you will excuse us from doing so in this instance.

We hope that you will not be caused any inconvenience,
