R.R. 238A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G 2870 X50 Extract from Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EH8/L9.12.13. X.50. X.3348. Re Self-Starters. We are making some tests with Edison cells but they do not appear as though they would be any good for a starter. With a 12 volt Edison battery when it is discharged at 10 amps. the voltage drops to 8. The battery with the Peerless set is made by the Willard Storage Battery Co. America. In reply to Mr. Royce's query, the brushes on this machine are not carbon, they look like german silver but are marked patent "Bronskol" made in Germany. | ||
