The S.U. Company Ltd.,
East Works,
Adderley Park,
Birmingham 8.

For the attention of Mr. Kent.

Dear Sirs,

We have to-day received the seven replacement carburetter needles and seatings, together with the cork gland washers.

We are returning the former once again for replacement.

We are very surprised to see that the seatings are burred and that the tops of the needles are very rough, especially after the several occasions that we have pointed out these faults, and the fact that we were promised that we should not have a recurrence of the matter.

A burred seating not only prevents the needle from seating correctly, but tends to hold up the smallest spot of foreign matter which may pass that way. Also, a rough topped needle is liable eventually to bite into the needle operating fork and become jambed, and so cause trouble.

Will you please give this your immediate attention, and see that we do not have a repetition of this on production.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
