Les OUR REFERENCE WHICH PLEASE QUOTE SALES/JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary}/MHm. 15th December, 1936. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of the 9th December, Ref. "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.14/JH", in which you ask us to have two pairs of the 7 plate Phantom III Rear Springs produced, one pair having a poundage of 1350 lbs. and the other 1550 lbs., we are glad to inform you that work has been prosecuted on these and we believe you have already received a drawing showing Plate thicknesses, for which we require your approval. Since we have not the correct thicknesses of material in stock, it will be necessary for us to grind down from thicker material but we fully assume that this will be agreeable to you. Yours faithfully, THOS. FIRTH & JOHN BROWN LTD. John Smith Director. | ||
