Dear Sir, We must apologise for not replying to your letter of the 7th instant in regard to Mr.Kilroy's Swivelling Headlamps but we think we are in a position to give you full particulars of his idea as until recently we have been in negotiation with him in an attempt to investigate the actual operation of his idea on the road. Mr.Kilroy showed us his demonstration headlamps which at the time we thought were quite ingenious but we were very doubtful whether the somewhat complicated nature of the apparatus would be acceptable to the Motor Trade generally and it was with the idea of making up a sample set so that this could be tried out practically that we were in touch with Mr.Kilroy. Our negotiations however, fell through as we were finally of the opinion that his scheme was rather too complicated when compared with other systems of which we had knowledge, and the writer would be glad to discuss any of these with you at a convenient opportunity. As you know you have recently been concerned with the weight of the P.100. headlamps and it is very certain that to embody Mr.Kilroy's Cont'd.....
