Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

29th. October 1928.

Dear Sirs,

We are so pleased to note from yours of the 27th inst., that the petrol filter sent appears to be satisfactory.

In accordance with your request we have at once put 2 further models in hand and it would be a considerable help to us if you could let us have the steel stirrups off 2 of the previous petrol filters sent, if you are not actually using these, as our standard stirrup is very much shorter than the one we supply to your goodselves; therefore, yours have to be made entirely by hand, which is rather laborious.

Regarding the order you kindly promised to send, it is really immaterial whether you send this or not, as we are quite prepared to do this experimental work free of charge. On the other hand, should you prefer to send an order, we suggest a price of £1 each, which will help to cover the cost of labour only on these experimental hand-made samples.

Yours faithfully,

BENTON & STONE LTD.
