Now that you have completed 15,000 miles we want you to send all your people except one back, and run over to Belgium to investigate the complaint of Mr. Gustav Wyns. We attach all the correspondence relating to this complaint, and 28-EX will be particularly useful as a comparison because we think that the steering on this car is better than the standard.

We hope that, having seen the customer and established his complaint exactly, you will be able to recommend modifications to his car to satisfy him.

Having dealt with Mr. Wyns we want you to run the car to Boulogne and garage it, and return to Derby. The proposal is that Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} is going over for the Salon and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has arranged that he shall run the car from Boulogne to Paris and back, so getting a Sales impression at the end of 15,000 miles. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} anticipates that he will cross over on the 3rd, so that he will be in Paris for the opening of the Salon on Thursday morning. It is possible that you will not be ready to leave Boulogne until Wednesday, in which case you could meet him.

It is possible that I may come over too, as there are several things that I wish to see at the Salon.

You will be interested to hear that we have tried out the single piece wings and running boards on Bentley 1 and they show signs of promise. We must admit that this was entirely contrary to our expectations but if the results are confirmed they definitely parallel your reports on the French Trials car.
