X1559 19 To H1. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} " RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Ha/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}&/KT. 27.9.33. ALUMINIUM BRAKE SHOES. We want to find out whether aluminium brake shoes grow when heated. It has been suggested that this is the cause of brake seizure. Will RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} please supply H1. with a shoe of which the dimensions are accurately known. If H1. will then heat it to 300°C by immersion or otherwise, we shall be able to find out whether it has permanently increased in size. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
