We suggest that a sheet metal tie from the underside of the valance in the neighbourhood of the bonnet catch fixing and extending down to the web of the frame would overcome this difficulty. When the valance strip has been bent up the bottom edge of the bonnet fouls it. When looking at the new small Lagonda yesterday, the "Rapier", we noticed that although this firm have used the SpectreCodename for Phantom III Type bonnet catch on the 4½-Litre, they have used the Bentley Type catch on this model. A different type of head is used, which in a way is more suitable for handling than the present Bentley because it has a flap top which makes it comfortable to press and still has wings to enable it to be turned.
