| -2- HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}1/BA.17.5.39 14.B.V. contd. 4.B.50. This chassis is now being despatched to the coachbuilders to have the body fitted. We are still waiting for the details of the Radiator and Bonnet. Silver Ripple. This is a new chassis the frame being as std. production B.V. for which we understand Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les is arranging to obtain the 1st one produced by Messrs. Thompsons. Complete specification has been issued and AH. requested that a complete shortage list be made out so that no delay is caused in the building up of this chassis. Silver Wraith 31.G.VII. Specification required from Mm. CHASSIS ON TEST. W.111.35.BX. On test for Hydraulic Gear Lever movement, Assisted Clutch and Overdrive Gear Box. Details have been received for FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}422.Strengthened Steering Rocker Shaft. Remarks. L.R. was requested by RH.{R. Hollingworth} to check up the Front Shock Damper shortage. D.C. promised details of the Controls for the Steering Column FDU.1353 by the 19th. WH. requested that all concerned should look into the specification to have a complete shortage list prepared immediately, so that no delay is caused in completing this chassis when it comes back from the Coachbuilders. HH. asked WSC.{W. S. Cassel} to get in touch with Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les to make sure that the 1st production frame was allocated for the Experimental department. Will Mm. give us a date when this chassis is expected to be passed to test, so that we can look into our commitments. L.R. to let us know what is going to take us after the end of May to complete to the specification. This has been asked for the last two weeks. F.89869 Pendulumn Lever necessitates slight modification to existing die. This is in hand. F.89870 Rocking Shaft can be made from existing forgings F.88341. L.R. was requested to give a completion promise of these items at the next meeting. It should be noted that 2 sets are required, one for fitment to this chassis and one for W.Bell's test rig. continued. | ||
