FS. {F. Steele} FN. TP. WSC. {W. S. Cassel} New Chassis Instructed. 10.B.V. This chassis is now on test, production type of Rear axle is to be fitted, also corks to the front hubs as shown on Arrgt. GB.4377. 11.B.V. The car now in the shop having been received back from Coachbuilders and is being completed to the specification. 12.B.V. This car was received back from the Coachbuilders late 16.5.39 we are proceeding to complete same to specification. 14.B.V. This chassis is still at the Coachbuilders in France having the body fitted and it is anticipated same will be back towards the end of this month. An all Helical Gear Box to be fitted, and a Rear Axle with 12 x 41 ratio gears and Alum Front Shock Dampers.. Remarks. RH. {R. Hollingworth} stated that the production type of rear axle was to be completed by the 23rd. B.80.No.3 Engine Unit will be ready for fitting to the chassis wednesday 17th. HL. is requested to give RH. {R. Hollingworth} a completion date for the 11 x 41 gears in S/ZNC. The car is being passed to test Thursday 18th. FB.4873/4 Side Steering Levers. LK. {L. King} promised to complete by the 24th. GB.4798 Hubs are promised for the 19th. FB.4453/4 Tri.Levers " " " 21st. The Rear Axle is " " " 21st. Car to be passed to test on the 24th.
