RE. NEW 40/50 CAR. X4547

In connection with the new 40/50 design, Mr. Royce is anxious to know the effect of radius rods fitted to the front axle as regards improving the movement of the steering wheel in going over rough roads. You may remember that an experiment was instructed by us when we were in Derby. It is possible that if you have not already tried this experiment, that the pieces are available and could be rigged up and tested. We have reason to believe that the geometry of the steering has a good deal to do with the movement of the wheel.
