ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. II 19 To Order No. JC 25 Customer's No. lost very little active material & were quite strong mechanically, but were badly buckled which had caused the periphery of the grids to fracture. The negative plates were good & strong. The wood separators were fair, but were very thin at the centres where the buckled positive plates had pressed them out & piercing them in places thus causing the leaking effect. No doubt if this battery had been fitted with ebonite separators it would have given a much longer life. Signed F.J. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
