Chassis 99-WR. Hague.

We have now completed the change of springs and shock absorbers on this Car, and we consider the springing to be as good as we know how to make it.

The Experimental Dept. have been in close touch with the changes made.

There are two features in the Car which should have attention -

Body rattles.

These we consider should have attention before the Car is returned, and it is suggested that we drive the Car to Mulliners, Northampton, for these to be cured.

Rear seat.

This is not satisfactory: There is too much lean on the back swab, and the cushion is insufficiently damped. This results in an uncomfortable seat.

Before anything is done to the seat Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} suggests that when we deliver the Car, we take also another Car with what we consider is a comfortable rear seat, and get him to sit in it in order to see that he will appreciate the difference.

It is also suggested that when the Car is ready, Cr. {Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} , and myself go together to deliver it and demonstrate the Car to the Owner. If this is agreed to, Cr. {Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} could bring up a Car from London to Elstree with the correct seating.

Will you please let me know whether this is agreed to.
