SECRET.

SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Front Suspension.

Herewith is N.Sch.4593 shewing the application of a coil to the centralised lubrication of the yoke piece and steering pivot pins avoiding the present dependence on the tightness of the perfect seals in the upper triangle outer bearing, for the supply of oil to the steering pivots and cross steering ball ends.

The only modifications to existing pieces are the longer bolt through the centre of the triangle bearings, the revised drilling through the centre of the brake carrier lever pin, and two radial holes removed from the upper triangle bearing pin.

The existing yoke pieces have a .250 tapped hole at the upper end of the vertical hole leading down to the steering pivot bearings. To utilise this we have suggested a straight junction piece, having a .25 thread at one end. If it is desired subsequently to use a standard .375 junction we should like the boss on the yoke piece slightly increased in diameter.

N.Sch.4593 herewith.
