Dear Sirs, re Luber-finer It is with great pleasure that I write to tell you of the services that I have received from the Luber-finer. You will recollect that this Luber-finer was recommended by you when my car No. T.4674 had already done approximately five thousand miles, and whilst fitting the Luber-finer to the engine no special precautions were taken. Since that period, the car has now done approximately 45 to 50 thousand miles. (Speedometer having been out of order for a considerable time.) During this period, the car was driven both in up-country and in Bombay, and I might say, over all types of roads. I have always noticed that the oil was in its original bright condition, never has the oil been changed and what is more astonishing - that the consumption of oil was so small that additions became necessary in small quantities for every 4 or 5 months. I have now sold this car to you in exchange for a new FIAT and have asked you to remove the Luber-finer to my new car and whilst doing this you were kind enough to allow me to inspect the old cylinder head of my old car, so as to see actually the amount of carbon that had deposited in the cylinder during this long period of driving. I was present at the time the cylinder head was lifted off the engine, and I was astonished to find that de-carbonising was definitely not required. Slight traces of carbon were visible, but these were so soft that by just rubbing it with a finger nail, the same could be removed. You will agree with me when I say that the Luber-finer increases the life of an engine, and I am very glad to tell you that whenever I should change the car, I would always insist on Luber-finer fitted to it.
