To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} 5th January 1917 EPC2/T5117. X.2122. X.2170. - PLAIN WATER CONNECTIONS WITHOUT UNIONS. In answer to your memo E4/B1117, I now send you blue print of the standardised piece E10338. A set of these has been made in aluminium, and has been run on the Experimental 'C' engine. These pieces are quite satisfactory except in one particular, namely, that the radius .050 in the corner up against the flange, is too small so that in screwing these pieces into position, should it be necessary to apply much force for the last half turn, the tendency is to bend back this flange in an undesirable manner. We therefore suggest that the radius should be increased, if these are standardised in aluminium. X.2690 EFC. | ||
