It is thought that your statement must be of great importance in connection with the case.

I have told them that we would arrange for Hives to give evidence. Bentley of course says that Hives' evidence would not carry much weight as to the information which existed at the time concerning aluminium pistons but will be of value on the facts as to what occurred at the time.

I have told Bentley that really this is a matter which you would wish to decide for yourself.

Will you, therefore, kindly write to Messrs. Druces and Attlee, telling them what your decision in the matter is?
