X.4260 GOSHAWK II - 3rd CROSS MEMBERS.

We send herewith a print of "N" Scheme 748 shewing the 3rd Cross Member and front anchorage on rear spring altered in accordance with your recent instructions.

On the altered blue print the lower pair of bolts of the outside bracket is shewn lower down, to suit the 6" frame, but this has the affect of either bringing it off the cross member and flange, or extending this end flange until it appeared to us to become rather flexible. We have therefore shewn the bolts in the same position as formerly and we suggest that you might like to add another pair of bolts lower down so as to hold the outside bracket as far down as possible.

With reference to the brake cable guides we have suggested that there might be a distance piece between the cable guides so that one small bolt is used for both, or as an alternative two separate bolts might be used.
