X3873? To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Terraplane - Character of Work in the Springs. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}9/E1.2.34 Thanks for BY.1/G.31.1.34. It rather reads as if you had taken my former memo. as an attack, whereas it was certainly not meant to be one. I realise that we are doing the work we do on springs for very good reasons and that springing complaints have dropped to a negligible quantity during the last 2 years or so. At the same time from the point of view mentioned in my former letter I thought it would be interesting to have a look to see how other people get their results. Sg.{Arthur F.
