SPECIFICATION FOR FITTING RADIO SETS TO RR. CARS.
------------------------------------------

We have examined the specification referred to above, submitted to us under Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. 4/MA.1.5.35. This appears to us to be quite satisfactory, but we would suggest that the following procedure should also be adopted :-

(a). We would propose to provide a slot in the mould for the distribution board, so that in future it would not be necessary to cut the slot when actually fitting a wireless set.

(b). We should like to know the sizes of the further condensers referred to in the specification in order to make certain that drawings for the fittings are available.

(c). We would suggest that drawings and a complete specification should be issued from this Department to Sales following our usual routine, as this is essentially a production matter, and under the circumstances it would mean that we would be able to keep the matter up to date in a similar manner in which the coachbuilders drawings are dealt with, as an example of what we have in mind the new noise damping scheme by which the dash is covered by a noise excluder, would require some special connection so that the customer or the coachbuilder would not have to start cutting away the noise damping material on the dash.

If you will kindly let us have sufficient information of your requirements to enable us to provide drawings and list of parts, we will arrange to inform Sales and supply full instructions in accordance with your requirements.
