ROAD SPRINGS.

With reference to the proposals for producing road springs more cheaply and free from de-carburisation, also immune from corrosion, which I put before Messrs. Toledo Woodhead & Co. and Messrs. Thos. Firth & John Brown Ltd. I attach hereto copy of a letter which I have received from Mr. Wolstenholme, which indicates that they are taking the matter seriously and intend to make a study of the proposals put forward.

I have received a similar note from Toledo Woodhead & Co. indicating that they also are taking steps to check out the views put forward.

In the meantime, Mr. Talbot is doing certain work for me, and at least one coiled spring has been treated which appears promising.
