SIR HERBERT SMITH, BT.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} Confirming our conversation when we tried Chassis No. 3-BT{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}-81, we do not believe that we shall be able to improve materially this car. We agree that coupé bodies are notoriously difficult to deal with, and that we should never expect to make such a satisfactory car of the coupé as of the limousine. In order, however, to make the best of coupes which are naturally popular on Rolls-Royce and Bentley Chassis we are proposing to make a study of them on our new experimental cars, and issuing recommendations as to basic principles of construction to the coachbuilders.
