X. 4342.V. C.A. Vandervell & Co., Ltd. WARPLE WAY, ACTON VALE, W. 5th July 1921. Ref: EL/DM. {D. Munro} Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd. Nightingale Road, DERBY. X.4342V. Starter Motor for "Goshawk II" Engine. Dear Sirs, Further to our letter of yesterday, we have pleasure in enclosing herewith a set of blue prints in connection with the above proposition. Shaft Drawing D.50048. We note you wish us to do the knurling on the shaft, and are making arrangements accordingly. The larger shoulder required on the shaft is quite in order, and is shewn on our sketch No.A/1.58 attached herewith. Bearing Bracket D.50049. This is quite in order. Outline D.50050. We have completed the outline as requested, also shewing the dowel pin which is put in after assembling. This information and particulars now seem to put the proposition on a workmanlike basis, and we shall be pleased to receive the parts at your earliest convenience to enable us to get the motors assembled and tested etc., Yours faithfully, Per Pro.
