COPY. To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from BJ. BJ3/H21.9.25. Re. 33-MC. Mr. Harrison's "New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I" Car. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}13/H18.9.25. Please let me know what has been done in regard to (a) testing this alteration for 10,000 miles; (b) issuing a standardisation sheet; (c) Is BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} prepared to pass it as an alteration which does not necessitate a standardisation sheet. We have been testing the alteration on our London demonstration car and we are writing to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} shortly on the subject with regard to the very considerable loss of power at high speeds or when using low gears, which is disappointing. On the other hand, we realise we cannot continue with the old noisy exhaust. B.J. | ||
