re. 33-MC. Mr. Harrison's "New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I" Car.

The above customer has on several occasions informed me that he is particularly pleased with this car, except for the exhaust, which he considers is noisy and generally objectionable.

We have made sure that the silencer is up to the standard in this respect, and have assured him that the matter is having our attention, and should we know of anything better, we will immediately advise him.

I understand from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} that a satisfactory quiet silencer has been supplied and fitted to the London Trials car, and I therefore write to ask whether you would agree to a similar silencer being supplied and fitted to the above car, it being the only case that I have come in contact with where a definite serious objection has been raised in regard to the silencer.

It would be to our great advantage to have him fully satisfied with this car, as he has considerable influence amongst motorists generally in Birmingham and district.
