contd :- -2- head cannot be standardised for use on all Phantom cars. R.{Sir Henry Royce} foresaw difficulties, if we had attempted to sell the standard Phantom with the present head and the Sports Phantom with the new type head and as there are numerous advantages with the new type head on the standard car he wished that we should get it on all cars as soon as ever possible. Fitting the new head and the parts to go with it to 12-EX car should not delay it more than 10 to 14 days. As regards the 20 HP. car which it was intended to send to France. Mr. Royce does not agree to this going until there are more experimental parts fitted to it. WW. have promised that they will design a turbulent head which will drop on to the present 20 HP. and use all existing parts. Mr. Royce wishes to get this going as soon as possible. Referring again to the Sports car. Although the result of the last weeks visit meant scrapping a lot of the new parts, we still are quite hopeful that we shall have a Sports chassis ready in time for the body.
