X. 8940b X. 8770 X. 4663 Referring to your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG14.11.27., the following is a list of the features to be incorporated in the above chassis :- (1) Watford magneto without sleeve. (2) Torque control to front axle. (3) Spare wheel carrier at rear. (4) Narrower radiator with integral shutters. (5) Battery ignition head with scrubbing contacts. (6) Battery box in frame. (7) Perfect circle ring in place of 'L' shaped ring. (8) New Lucas dipping headlamps. (9) Engine flexibly mounted at rear end. (10) Turbulent head in aluminium (comp: ratio 4.5 to 1) (11) Alum. cyl. blocks with steel liners. (12) Present standard crankchamber which has been strengthened at the oil pump drive. (13) The crankshaft will be the same as is being used in EAC.14. at present, except original dia. crankpins of 2.125. (14) Present standard 'H' section con. rods but without oil pipes to little ends. (15) Piston pins of valve spring steel tempered to 400 brinell and of lightest permissible section. (16) Piston of present std. pattern suitable for die casting, with perfect circle scraper instead of 'L' shaped rings. (17) Valve springs to drg.LeC.2479. (18) Camshaft with longer inlet cam. (19) Front springs with 1" negative camber (plus ¼" from present). (20) Packing removed from beneath front springs. (21) Cast dash. Contd :- | ||
