RECEIVED 6 MAY 1931 SHOCK DAMPERS - N.2 SERIES R.H. As we have to make a certain number of R.H. chassis in N.2 series, it has been decided that for the present we must continue with the standard dampers, as the modified forms which the Experimental Department are handling have not been in their hands long enough for them to make a decision. In regard to the levers operating the links, these in future will be made in 5% nickel steel and fitted with a bush made in 5% case hardening nickel steel, hardened on the inside only. Any levers which are in existence in C.H.N.S. will be used up. These dampers must be made only for actual requirements as is the case with the L.H. chassis. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Br | ||
