R1300 Experimental Department 9th December 1936. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}22/AP. Messrs Ransome & Marles Bearing Co.Ltd., NEWARK-ON-TRENT For the attention of C.G.H.Richardson Esq. Dear Sirs, We are very anxious to know when we may expect to receive the three experimental steering rollers which you are making for us under our order No.24837 dated 26th September 1936. We are now held up for these parts and unless we receive them before the 15th of this month we shall be unable to fit them to our next 10,000 mile test car, so that possible standardisation would be delayed by at least six months. We are sure that you will realise the serious-ness of the position andwe hope you will make every effort to make up for the unreasonable delay in producing the parts in question. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
