x326 GBY PY C. E.T. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} La.{L. A. Archer} NHC. HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.28.10.35. Phantom 3 Gearbox - Modified 3rd speed cone fixing R.R. Gears. We send herewith N. Sch.4678 which shows a modified fixing for the 3rd speed cone which should be fitted on all new boxes, as this cone on the last 10,000 miles car was found to have worked loose. The Cadillac type gears to N. Sch. 4434 already have a fixing of this type but with only six pins. We show 9 pins for the RR. gears in order, as we think, to run no risk of failure. An opportunity will no doubt occur later to thoroughly test the use of only six pins. HDY.{William Hardy} | ||
